The studio lights glowed warmly, casting soft shadows over scattered notebooks and cables. Chan was focused on the soundboard, and Changbin scribbled furiously in his lyric book—but Jisung kept sneaking glances at his phone. Every time your name lit up, his smile widened just a little more.

He quickly typed something back: Don’t forget dinner, okay? I’ll order something for you later. You deserve to eat well, baby.

When he looked up, Changbin raised an eyebrow. “Why’re you smiling like that?”

Jisung tugged his hood up over his head, cheeks flushed. “It’s nothing. Just… motivation.”

But even as he said it, he slipped into the hoodie you’d left at his place. The faint scent of you clung to it, and it made his chest feel full in the best way. He stepped up to the mic, testing a few lines. His voice—usually sharp and powerful—softened, carrying warmth that wasn’t there before.

Chan caught it immediately. “That feels real, Jisung. Keep it.”

Jisung bit back a laugh, embarrassed but secretly glad. Because it was real. It was you.

He sat back down and recorded a quick voice note, thumb hovering for just a second before he pressed send:

“I know you’re probably busy, but… I’m thinking about you. You make everything easier, you know that? I’ll be home soon, and I can’t wait to see you.”

His phone buzzed softly in his hand, but this time it wasn’t just a notification. The screen lit up with your name, and his heart skipped. Without hesitation, Jisung slipped his headphones down around his neck and answered quickly, voice instantly soft.

“Baby?” he said, eyes shining as he leaned back in his chair. The low hum of the studio surrounded him, but all he focused on was your voice. His brown eyes crinkled with affection as he listened, a grin tugging at his lips.

“I was just about to ask if you got my message,” he chuckled. “How’s your day going?”
