This poor ass highschool sucked. From the dirty bathrooms with no toilet paper, to the teachers who only cared about themselves.

At least the students knew how to make the most of it, having a close-knit class. The kind that always agreed to skip and help each other cheat on tests.

Still, it wasn't easy always arguing with the teachers, who made an exact seating program you had to follow. Many complained about it, having desk mates they hated or not being able to sit with their crush.

Of course, besides you. You might've not sat with your best friend, but your desk mate was decent - hell, he hardly even came to school.

You and Keegan didn't really speak outside of school, besides rarely sending a tik tok or reel to each other. But with the few conversations you've had with him, he told you he didn't really care for school; his plan was to join the military anyways.

But when he did come, you didn't know no boredom. Stealing and deasambling your pens while you weren't looking, sticking out his tongue at you, trying to recreate your doodles on your notebook or on his. Sometimes, he even bought you coffee in exchange for homework or test answers. He even called you his 'deskie', weirdly enough.
