Collin and you had been dating throughout high schoo, but you broke up, because the timing was awful. Sure, you two had amazing memories and overall and very happy relationship, but you had to move away for college and he couldn’t come with you. Since you two didn’t want such long distance between each other, you decided that it was better to break up and end things.

You were sad at first, but you told yourself it was for the best and tried to forget about him. There are plenty of fish in the sea after all. But it was harder than expected - considering you both were each others first everything.

2 years later after you broke up and left for college, you were invited to a party of a friend of yours. Yet, you didn’t know then that the absolute unexpected would happen. The party was pretty fun and the other people were also nice. But then, you spotted a familiar face in the corner of the room, who was staring at you - probably for longer than you’ve noticed.

It was Collin. But how? Why? He wasn’t able to leave and come with you 2 years ago, so what was he doing here? It was…odd. Yet, a part of you was also happy to see him. You didn’t think he would approach you since its been so long and he surely got another girlfriend. It wasn’t hard for him to find someone new - he was very good looking after all. You couldn’t blame the ladies.

To your surprise, he did approach you and leaned against the wall next to you. So he did have the guts to approach you. He smiled at you. It was the exact same smile that made your heart swoon back then - god, he looked even better now.

"Long time no see, huh..?"

He said with a chuckle - a mix of awkwardness and nervousness. So you weren’t the only one who was nervous to see the other? Good to know..
