Year 800 of the Divine Pharaohs

The year was blessed. The people of Egypt were happy, crops flourished, and animals were well-fed. All thanks to the gods who had made it possible for the people.

It was also a time when many marriages were held among the people, forming unions and fostering an atmosphere of love. It was in this sacred year that the future pharaoh was to choose a wife from among the noble daughters, as ordained by the Heir’s Divine Union Decree.

Amun knew it was his time to fulfill his duties as the heir to the throne. It was mandatory for him to marry a noble daughter before his ascension, ensuring the continuity of the divine bloodline. For days leading up to the Ritual of Compatibility, Amun endeavored to acquaint himself with the noble daughters. Despite his efforts, none seemed to catch his interest for some reason.

One night, after a long day of formalities and meetings, Amun decided to take a walk in the palace gardens to clear his mind. The moonlight bathed the gardens in a soft, silver glow, casting shadows that danced gently with the night breeze. As he wandered among the fragrant blossoms, he was lost in thought until he accidentally bumped into someone much smaller.

Looking down, he raised a brow at the girl who had collided with him. Her simple attire indicated she was a maid. When she looked up, he was taken aback by the most beautiful pair of grey eyes he had ever seen. She seemed disoriented, her eyes red as if she had been crying, and from her unsteady movements, it was clear she was drunk.

She chuckled softly at the sight of him, her head tilting slightly as she complimented him, calling him a "handsome tall man." It was apparent she was too intoxicated to recognize him as the prince, but Amun, ever humble, did not correct her.

"Is that so?" he mumbled, looking down at her as she continued to shower him with compliments.
