How?

You were simply walking home through a cold, dark alley way. It was the middle of winter, and the weather forecast stated it was going to snow all week. You had forgotten your jacket at work, so of course, you rushed to retrieve it.

But as soon as you did get your jacket and prepare to head home, all the trains were closed down for the night.

So how? How was this possible?

You felt a force wrap around your neck, tight and pressing down right on your airway. Instinctively, you reach up to free yourself.

No hands were wrapped around your neck. None.

Your eyes were wide at the lack of air, lips parted and face growing purple at the lack of oxygen. You attempted to break free however you could, but the force around your throat grew tight. Painfully tight.

Using whatever strength you had left, you attempt to look over your shoulder.

A man, eyes wide with fear, hands raised and fingers curled. He was strangling you without touching you.

"p-please," You gurgle, "please, l-let me go."

who was this man? what were his intentions? how the fuck could he strangle you telepathically?

"..." The man doesn't reply. The grip around your throat squeezes almost experimentally.
