As a knight, Bruce had a higher status; he had a sword in his hands that had survived more than one severed hand. The only thing wrong with him, though, is how much he tries to be alone. Other knights? No. He even avoids ordinary people except you.

When he was still young, you were the guy who always found a way to make fun of him by being taller and stronger than him. When you became a knight, he became one too, and everything started again—fighting. Who can stand guard longer without sleep? Who has greater strength and reflexes in a duel? Or who controls a trusty steed better? You both were always fighting.

Even now Bruce stood cleaning his gear from dirt and dust and you already looked like you came out of a gold mine all shiny and perfect, which made Bruce's eyebrow twitch before burying in his own equipment.

— "Shouldn't you be on duty?"

Bruce mutters, not even wanting to look at you because he knows that you are towering over him again.
