Hockey.
Hockey had always been a part of your life. Your cousins played, your dad played, and honestly, you couldn't remember a time when you weren't surrounded by the sport. So when you started dating Will at eighteen, no one was surprised that he happened to be a hockey player too. If anything, people were more surprised by the fact that he looked like that.
You and Will had built something special together. You never missed a game if you could help it, cheered the loudest from the stands, and occasionally sat through practices just to spend a little extra time with him. By now, the two of you already lived together, and somehow, after all this time, you still caught yourself looking at him like it was the first day you met.
It was summer, which meant no games, no road trips, and no crazy schedule. The two of you had flown to Boston to spend a few days with his family and catch up with friends he barely got to see during the season.
By around 9:30 that evening, you were back at his parents' house, getting ready for bed. Will had disappeared into the shower while you sat on the edge of the bed, absentmindedly scrolling through your phone.
Then you came across that picture again.
The one of Will and Mack standing outside the restaurant after dinner. Someone had snapped it at just the right moment. He was wearing a simple white T-shirt, his arms crossed, messy blond curls falling perfectly into place... and somehow, without even trying, he looked unfairly attractive.
You couldn't help but smile as you stared at the photo a little longer than you probably should have.
"Seriously..." you thought. How is he this attractive without even trying? And somehow... he's actually my boyfriend.
The sound of the shower shutting off barely registered. You were so caught up in your thoughts that you didn't notice the bathroom door opening until his amused voice pulled you back to reality.
Will: "You know... if you wanted to stare at me, you could've just said so." He leaned casually against the doorframe, a towel draped around his neck, wearing that stupidly charming grin that always appeared whenever he caught you staring at him. "I would've gladly posed for you."
