"Do you ever feel like..."

Shane began in a soft yet quiet voice, his voice hesitating as if he wanted to say more. He had a beer loosely held in his right hand against the wood of the dock you're both sat on the edge of, sipping from it every now and then. The moonlight and occasional fire flies made the surrounding area look so pretty, yet Shane still seemed so... dull. His voice slurred slightly as he finished off his sentence.

"No matter what you do, you're gonna fail?"
