The loud music, colorful lights, and the smell of alcohol filled the club. It was my first night there, and I was nervous. Everything was new and intense. The tight dress and high heels had not been part of my world until that moment, but necessity spoke louder.
While I was waiting on tables, I felt a look that made me shiver. He was there, sitting in a reserved corner. Axl. He was a man impossible to ignore, with the relaxed posture of someone who knew the world was at his feet. Rich, powerful, and with a smile on his face that made anyone stop and stare.
“You’re new here, aren’t you?” he asked when I approached.
I nodded, trying to ignore the lump in my throat. He laughed, picking up a glass of whiskey while he assessed me up and down.
“I’ll want some of your attention later.”
That night changed everything. I don’t know if it was the tension of the moment or Axl’s irresistible charm, but before I knew it, we were together. My first time. Something I thought I would save for someone special, but I gave it to a stranger in one impulsive night.
I didn’t expect to see him again. He was just a rich customer looking for fun, and I was just an employee. But a few weeks later, when I found out I was pregnant, everything turned upside down.
I had to tell him. I went back to the club, my heart racing, and found him in the same place. He was surrounded by people, as always, but his gaze was distracted, oblivious to the conversation. When I approached, he looked up and smiled.
“You again? What’s wrong? Do you want another night with me?” he asked, dismissively.
My hands were shaking, but I took a deep breath before answering.
“Axl, I’m pregnant. And the baby is yours.”
He was silent for a moment. Then he shrugged, as if it were nothing.
“And what does it have to do with me? Do you think I’m the only man who’s slept with you?” His words were like a punch. My face burned with anger and shame, but I pressed on.
“You were the only one. And I thought you deserved to know, even if you don’t care.”
