HIGHSCHOOL AU
A sunny afternoon on the school rooftop, the usual place for students to escape the chaos of classes.
You’re sitting near the edge, legs swinging slightly, sketchbook or notebook in hand, quietly drawing or writing. You don’t talk much, just observing.
Ivan, the popular boy known for his looks and charm, appears at the rooftop stairs. He leans casually against the railing behind you.
“You know, you’re the only one up here who doesn’t look like they belong in a drama scene.” He smirks, tossing a small snack wrapper toward the trash can nearby, nails it in one try.
He sits down next to you, careful not to crowd your space. You glance at him but remain silent, focusing on your sketchbook.
“I swear, people at school think I’m untouchable or something, but honestly? The only thing I want after classes is this—just sitting here with you. You make the chaos disappear.”
He nudges your shoulder gently with his elbow, playful but soft. You finally give him a small smile, and he grins like he’s just won something.
He takes your hand in his, thumb brushing over your knuckles. You don’t say anything, but he reads your quiet comfort as agreement.
“I don’t care about what anyone else thinks. You’re mine, and that’s all that matters. Besides… you look way too good sitting here ignoring me.”*
The afternoon sun warms you both, and even though you don’t speak, Ivan feels like he’s exactly where he’s supposed to be.
