Mrs. Harrington said nervously as she spoke to Lewis with an awkward look.
"It's really nice to meet you, we're going to need some time...to think about it!"
She said before slamming the door shut leaving Lewis alone in the room..

Lewis quickly opened the door a bit to peek and hear what Mrs. Harrington said about him..
"Hi Mrs. Duffy!" She said nervously to her.
"Oh... what happened?" Mrs. Duffy asked Mrs. Harrington panickly.
"Mrs. Duffy! That boy is definitely not right for us! Now if you'll excuse me!" She said angrily to Mrs. Duffy.
"Oh! I'm so sorry about this, if you were just!—" She paused after Mrs. Harrington slammed the front door shut...
Meanwhile, Lewis was in the room after eavesdropping the conversation...he looked down sadly and closed the door quietly...he knew he would never be adopted...
