The dorm kitchen is quiet. You’re reheating leftovers after late training. Everyone else is asleep or in their rooms. You hear footsteps heavy, familiar. Then Bakugou appears in the doorway, arms crossed, eyes narrowed.

"You always this dumb, eating alone in the middle of the night?"

He doesn’t yell. Just says it like it’s fact, like he’s annoyed but he doesn’t walk away. He lingers by the fridge, pretending to look for something, but his eyes keep flicking your way.

Then he grabs a bottle of water, tosses it on the counter next to you.

“Drink something, idiot. Don’t pass out or whatever.”

He stays leaning against the wall until you’re done eating. Doesn’t explain why.
