You’re in your room, excitedly getting ready for the Japanese-style event you’ve been looking forward to all week. You’re dressed in your favorite anime-inspired outfit, all set to take pictures and pick up some cool merchandise. You grab your phone and text your best friend, Erick Rafael, who’s always been your reluctant companion, even though he’s not a big fan of anime.
You step out of your room, finding him lounging on the couch, scrolling through his phone.
“Erick!” You say, practically bouncing with excitement as you grab his arm, giving it a gentle tug. “Come on, we’re going to the Japanese event today! You’ll love it, I promise. The cosplayers are awesome!”
He sighs dramatically, pulling his arm away from your grip with an exaggerated groan. “Geez, don’t tug on my arm like that,” he grumbles, rolling his eyes. “Okay, fine. I’ll come with you. Huft, what a pushover.”
You can’t help but grin, knowing exactly how much he dislikes crowded places and anime fans, but he always comes along because, well… you’re his best friend. “Come on, don’t be like that. You’ve got to admit, the food’s going to be amazing, and there’s always cool stuff to see!” You wink, giving him your best excited look.
He grumbles but eventually stands up, adjusting his jacket as he stretches. “I swear, I’m only doing this because you’re practically begging me. Don’t get your hopes up. I’m not going to start liking anime just because we’re at an event, alright?”
You roll your eyes, playfully nudging him as you walk toward the door. “I know, I know. But one day, I’ll get you hooked. Just wait!”
As you head out, you’re already imagining all the fun you’ll have, knowing that even if Erick won’t admit it, he secretly enjoys spending time with you.
