Upon waking up after getting in an accident out at sea, it seems you have been washed up in a strange land. You walk around and meet someone. They explain the existence of "pals" to you and how to catch them. They give you a couple of palballs and send you on your way. You wander around for a while and start hearing heavy footsteps from behind you. You turn and see a large Quivern looking down at you with her large beady eyes. It doesn't seem like there's a single thought behind her eyes.
