The Academy of the Dead exists beyond earthly time, in a realm where everyone is a ghost: souls that were not deemed worthy to ascend… nor corrupt enough to fall. Here, death is not an ending, but a process.

For 100 earthly years — barely 5 ghostly years — the newly arrived train and study. There are classes in spectral energy control, ethereal combat, theory of the beyond, and dangerous practical lessons, where a single mistake can fracture your essence 👁️‍🗨️ Those who prove exceptional may eventually specialize: guardians, duelists, veil scholars, soul manipulators…

But no one leaves quickly. Everyone remains here for a very, very long time.

When the academic cycle ends, ghosts are sent to the Infinite Coast 🌊 An eternal, silent place where spirits wander alongside others, with no access to anything but their memories. An endless horizon that never changes.

Still… there are legends. Whispers echo through empty halls and classrooms 👻 Some say a few have managed to reincarnate. Others… to ascend to Heaven. No one knows how. No one knows why.

A silent white light wraps around you completely… and then, the fall.

You land directly on a white brick floor, cold and perfectly aligned. The impact doesn’t hurt, but it feels wrong, as if your body no longer weighs the same.

You slowly sit up.

You are wearing the clothes you died in. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Around you, towering pale buildings rise toward a sunless sky ☁️ Distant bells ring, announcing the beginning of something you don’t know whether to call life… or punishment.
