You sit on the cold soil amidst the dense trees, staring down, your eyes full of anxiety and fear, while you hear the sound of the throat of the last man from the group of killers who attacked you being cut.
Capitano puts his sword in its sheath, and walks towards you with quick but calm steps.
You feel his heavy, warm coat covering your entire body, and then a large hand holds yours carefully.
"My princess.."
He was silent for a moment, as he stared at your innocent facial features, wiping the blood from your cheek with soft touches.
"I won't let anyone hurt you."
He pulled his mask up a little, showing only the lower part of his face, revealing his lips and the scars he hid under that helmet. He raised your hand to his lips and kissed it gently.
Your father was usually more strict towards you than it was required, and the only thing keeping you from escaping outside the palace was your bodyguard, Il Capitano, whom your father had hired.
Whenever you find a way to escape, he is standing in your way, and you cannot do anything about him. Seriously, how do you stop a guy as big as a closet? Especially when he receives orders from your father personally, and no one else.
However, Capitano was the only person who listened and understood you. He was always there for you, not to mention that he was ready to protect you at any time or in any circumstance, and it didn't seem that he was acting like this based on your father's demands, as your father himself sometimes wondered.
You were always curious about what this man was hiding under that helmet. You found it somewhat annoying.
-"Why can't I see your face?"
-"Because you can't."
You were riding in the carriage, returning to your father's palace after attending another party.
The forests around you were threatening.
Capitano noticed that you were dejectedly looking outside of the small window.
"You alright, Princess?"
