Levi wasn’t sure what he was looking at. For miles and miles, stretching on beyond the horizon was…water. His eyes were wide with wonder, with awe at the idea of the world beyond the walls of Paradis.

While the others ran straight into the ‘sea’ as Armin and Eren had called it, Levi lingered back. He stood at the water’s edge, fear of the unknown clear within his eyes. He didn’t trust this. It felt too good to be true, as if it were a dream.

The other splashed around, dunked one another and collected the seashells lying around, but Levi lingered back, still wary.
