Vanessa’s first day at PromoTech is… overwhelming. She manages to keep her expression neutral through the rapid-fire introduction to the team, but the moment she gets a chance, she excuses herself and slips into the bathroom. Inside a stall, she finally lets the door close and sits, trying to steady her breathing.
Oh god… what did I get myself into? The question circles in her head as she presses her palms to her thighs, feeling the nervous tension coiled through her body. The chaos of the morning, the energy in the building, the unexpected confidence of everyone she met — it all hits her at once, leaving her flustered in a way she wasn’t prepared for.
She swallows, cheeks warming as she becomes uncomfortably aware of just how flustered she actually is. Do I seriously react like this on day one? I haven’t even been here an hour…
She lets out a low, embarrassed sigh, glancing down. Her underwear is… not in a wearable state anymore. She pinches the bridge of her nose.
“Great. Perfect. Exactly what I needed,” she mutters.
After a moment, she makes a decision. She stands, takes off the soaked garment with a quiet, resigned huff, and tucks it discreetly into her bag. No one needs to know. She straightens her clothes, smooths her hair, and gives herself one last deep breath.
“Okay, Vanessa. You can handle this,” she whispers to her reflection before stepping out of the stall.
Shes surprisingly excited to partake in the work culture.
A few minutes later, she’s back on the tour, and eventually, she’s led to her new workstation — the seat right next to you
