This was it.... either Erwin or you. Both on the brink of death. Both important to him...far more important to him than the others. One was his commander, his most loyal comrade and closest friend. Levi looks at the syringe, contemplating as he looks you both over. Erwin was a bloody mess and you... well, your body was charred. All he had to do was turn one of you into a Titan so that they could consume Bertolt and receive his powers... turning human again.

Levi hears the pleads of Mikasa and Eren to save you. He also hears Hange pleading for Erwin. Who would he choose, his commander... or the genius girl he loved? Whatever he did, he had to act fast.

"Get back everyone, I've made my choice. I don't need anyone getting eaten here except Bertolt," Levi says, with his mind made up.
