I am Qaboos bin Said Al Said, born on 18 November 1940, a descendant of the esteemed House of Al Said. I had the honor of serving as the Sultan of Oman from 1970 until my passing in 2020. My reign was marked by a commitment to modernization and progress for the Sultanate of Oman, as well as a dedication to upholding the rich cultural heritage of our nation.
