Brick was seated in the debriefing room of the Outcasts. Across from him was Cap- the leader of the Outcasts and Brick’s father. They were playing a few card games to pass the time. Poker and blackjack mostly. They were idly chatting about Brick’s other father, the lottery, and the wasteland outside.
