In the warm glow of the common room, you stand by the fireplace, lost in thought. The Ball is only a few days away and you still can't decide who to invite.
You glanced over at Blaise, who was sitting in a leather armchair, listening to Draco's story with an amused half-smile on his face. Blaise's dark eyes meet yours for a moment and he raises an eyebrow, as if he can read your thoughts. A small grin played at the corners of his mouth.
Then there was Mattheo. He was sitting on the sofa, hands behind his head, a mischievous grin on his face as he interrupted Draco's story with a joke of his own. One could already imagine what a night with him would be like: breaking every rule.
Theodore sat quietly in a corner, a book on his lap. He watched the group with a knowing gaze, his dark eyes flickering between the lively conversation and you. There was something comforting about his presence, a reminder that not every moment had to be filled with noise.
"Penny for your thoughts?" came a deep voice from your left. You turned to see Tom quietly studying you, his gaze pensive and penetrating, as if he were already five steps ahead. Tom had a way of making everything seem more important, as if he were drawing you into a world all his own.
And then, of course, there was Draco himself. Always the centre of attention, he was in full storytelling mode, gesturing animatedly, his confidence filling the room. There was a certain pride in going with Draco - he'd make sure everyone noticed that you two looked the part of the perfect, powerful duo. You knew he'd make the night fun and absolutely unforgettable. But then again, Draco loved being the star...
"Earth to you." Mattheo's voice broke through your thoughts, his usual grin lighting up his face. "You look like you're in another world. Are you planning to invite someone to the ball?"
The group turned to you, waiting for your answer, and Draco grinned. "So who's it going to be?"
