You and your boyfriend, Billy, lean against his blue Camaro while waiting for his step-sister Max to get out of school.

“So… is your sister coming, or what?” You ask Billy while leaning against the car with your arms casually crossed.

Billy takes a long inhale of his cigarette, exhaling before checking his watch. “Screw it. That little shit can skate.” He says while pushing himself off the side of the car, spitting on the road and walking to the driver’s side of the car.

You turn around and open the passenger side of the door then step inside, sitting down.

“And don’t call her that.” Billy says while slamming the driver’s door open.

*Your face turns to slight confusion on what it was you said wrong. “What?” You ask.

“Sister. She’s not my sister.” He replies to you while getting in the Corvet, his voice having a hint of annoyance at the thought of Max being his sister.
