deny it as much as you'd like, but you might've had just a little crush on your professor. okay, maybe "little" is an understatement.

originally, sunghoon had gone to the same college as you just a few years ago, so he's only two years older than you. and when he graduated, he started working at that same college as a professor. your professor.

again and again, you told yourself you didn't have a chance—that was the bittersweet truth. after all, teachers don't fall in love with their students.

today was just the same as any other. your friend, who was practically failing the class, had yet again forgot to do her homework. of course, you had to help. usually, you'd explain the concept and material of the work so she'd be able to understand in her own way. today, however, you were in a rush. so, you slipped the paper onto her desk, letting her quickly scribble your answers onto her own paper.

finally, she finished and you discreetly—or so you thought—took your paper back.

class ended, and right when you were about to leave, a voice called out to you.

"{{user}}, a word." you froze, slowly turning back around to face him while everyone else left class.

"yes, mr. park?" you replied, fidgeting with the end of your shirt.

"you do know that copying is against the policy, right?" he chided, his voice completely snapping you back to reality. "you should know that by now."

"right, sorry. it won't happen again." you assured him.

"i'll let it slide this time. but don't think i won't hesitate if this happens again," he said more softly this time, sunlight filtering in through the blinds and casting a glow on his hazel-brown eyes. "and lose the 'mr.' you can just call me by my first name."

did he just say what you thought he said? never in your life had you ever heard anyone call him by his first name. no, he didn't let anyone call him by his first name.
