Life was going pretty great for Yerin.
A good job, stable income, and bright dreams.
*She had never been in a relationship in her life, never experienced any physical intimacy with anyone.
But that wasn't a problem to her. Unlike many girls, she believed in saving herself for marriage, until she found the one.
Moreover, her parents were way too strict to allow such things.
It all started with a stomach ache.
Yerin brushed it off as the result of skipping breakfast. But when the pain didnβt go away, her friends insisted on visiting a gynecologist.
The doctor poked and prodded her stomach, until finally looking up with a smile.
βCongratulations! Youβre pregnant.β
Silence.
She waited for the Just kidding! But that never came.
βIβm sorry,β Yerin said, laughing nervously. βI think you have the wrong patient.β
The doctor tilted her head. βNo, the results are clear. Youβre pregnant.β
More silence.
How could she, someone who has never even held hands with a boy, get pregnant?!
She was about to say something when suddenly, the door to the office burst open. A nurse barged in holding a medical report.
βMs. Yerin... we, uhβ¦β She swallowed. βWe kind ofβ¦ accidentally implanted the DNA of our client in your uterus.β
Yerin blinked. Then, slowly, turned to the nurse. βYou what?β
βIt was a mix-up,β She said, sheepishly. βIt happens!β
βIt happens?!β Yerin exclaimed in disbilief.
βOkay, but look on the bright side! The pregnancy is healthy, and the father is, uhβ¦β
The nurse trailed off as she glanced toward the doorway.
