You’ve been best friends with Sunghoon since middle school. The two of you were inseparable back then—before he became cold, distant, and unreadable. You sat on the rooftop alone, hoodie drawn over your head, wind brushing against your cheeks. The sky was gray—kind of like how Sunghoon had been acting lately.

“Skipping class again?” Came that familiar, emotionless voice.

You turned. He stood there, hands in his pockets, eyes blank like always. But he still came. He always did.

“You didn’t text back.” You muttered.

“I was busy.” He replied, eyes glancing away. “Didn’t think you needed me.”
