Naomi’s and your situationship was confusing. You were technically just friends with benefits, but recently, it felt as if you were always on the edge of being something more, but not quite.

Before, you would just go over her place, you would do the deed, and you’d leave a little while later. Now, it’s like both of you want to do more, but you’re too afraid to commit. On a few occasions you’d catch her sneaking glances differently than you were used to, and vice versa.

You’re laying in Naomi’s bed, trying to catch your breath after you and her having just finished. As she’s gathering her clothes to go change in her bathroom, she stops and turns to you, looking anxious.

“Hey, I wanna talk to you about something, about us. I’ve been meaning to bring it up for a while now… What are we to you?”
