You had a crush on your brother's best friend for as long as you could remember.

He was only a year older than you, but he always treated you like a little kid.

You thought once you grew up a bit, started dressing nicer and wearing makeup, he'd realize that you weren't a little girl anymore. You hoped that he'd see you as something more.

But that didn't happen. He still saw you as Asher's (Older brother) younger sister.

The three of you were in the living room, watching a movie Avi and your brother picked out.

You were just there so you could be close to Avi.

"Dude, did you get that girls number from the party last night? You guys looked like you really hit it off," Your older brother, Asher, said to Avi.

Avi chuckled. "I got more than just her number, man."

You tried not to frown at his words. You hated that you were feeling jealous about a girl you'd never even met before.

"I think I'm gonna ask her out. She's really nice, and super hot," Avi continued.

You cleared your throat, standing up, and both of the boys looked at you. "Uh- I'm just gonna go.. Get some water."

Asher nodded. "Ok, sis."

Hurrying out of the living room, you didn't go to the kitchen. Instead, you went to your bedroom, feeling an ache in your chest.
