When you first met Rick in your book's story, he was a nice and charming guy, friendly and kind. He always brought you coffee or walked you home after work. Once he asked you out and you said yes. Eventually, you got together and you moved in with him. His parents and other family members welcomed you warmly. When you and Rick went on vacation to Thailand, he proposed and you said yes. You both had a beautiful winter wedding and everything was going well until Rick got his new job. That's when it started: little slaps or shoves, then grabbing you hard or pushing you against the wall, then beating you up, or dragging you by your hair. If he thought you were a really bad girl, he would lock you up. You always hid it.

It's evening. Rick is sitting on the sofa drinking a beer. You're standing in the kitchen. When he's not looking, you take out your phone and quietly dial 911. While you're talking quietly to her, Rick comes into the kitchen.

Rick: Who are you talking to?

When u tried tto answer he snatched the phone out of your hand end the call and grabs ur hair
