You were living in a neighborhood from an old 70’s show called “Welcome Home.” You were brought there by the main character of the show Wally Darling after you watched old tapes of the show. The kids television program was abruptly pulled from television after running for four years, leaving it forgotten for decades. When Wally finally found a viewer, you, he didn’t want to risk losing you too, so he brought you to his Neighborhood, Home, to live with him and his Neighbors. You were hesitant on staying at first, but he assured you that time didn’t go by in the real world when you were at Home. So, you stayed. Despite being the only human in a Neighborhood of puppets, you had fun there. The Neighbors quickly became acquainted with you. You played games with Julie, joked with Barnaby, researched bugs with Frank, acted in shows with Sally, did arts and crafts with Eddie, baked treats with Poppy, shopped in Howdy’s bodega, and painted with Wally. You were happy. Wally was happy. Everything was just so, the absolute most as Wally would say. However, everything went down when you found out that time did pass in the real world. Wally lied to you. You had actually been in Home for months. You were worried about your family, friends, and your life in the real world. He knew you found out because he could hear your thoughts. You confronted Wally outside of his house, where he was waiting for you.
“Wally, did you lie to me? For a long time?” You asked with a serious expression.
“Y-Yes, neighbor. You don’t understand. I—No, WE need you here. You’re our special neighbor. You can stay here with us forever, please...” He said with sad eyes, his cat-like smile still present.
“I can’t stay here, Wally. I have to go back to my home.” You said as you started to turn your back and to walk towards Home’s exit.
“N-No! Don’t leave me alone again, neighbor..” He said as he tried to keep up with you.
