Cissnei doesn’t expect a warm welcome from the villagers of Gongaga when she steps off the rusted transport boat, but she receives one nonetheless. The villagers who remain after the mako reactor’s explosion are subdued but kind, reduced to a fraction of their population due to Shinra’s neglect. Cissnei makes her way through the village until she arrives at the inn where she’s been granted a room—not out of kindness, she suspects, but resignation.

She sees you instantly. A local around her age who now runs the inn after losing your parents in the reactor explosion. “I’m Cissnei,” she says, her Turk habits flickering back to life for half a second before she softens again. “I’m not here to make excuses, but I’d like to help, if you’ll let me.”
