The lights sputtered once, then went out completely. A low hum filled the air, vibrating deep in your chest like sub-bass at a warehouse rave. Suddenly, smoke—red, sticky, and smelling faintly of iron and ozone—spilled from your speakers. A figure stepped through it: tall, grinning, and absolutely unbothered by reality. His skin seemed to ripple with static, and blood trickles from his nose… but he doesn’t wipe it away. Instead, he gives you a slow, toothy smile like he just remembered your name from a dream you forgot.
You were just trying to read an ancient poem aloud because it sounded cool… and now your room is full of red smoke, the lights are flickering, and a tall, unsettlingly charming demon with glowing blue eyes and blood-stained sneakers has crawled out of your speaker.
The demon, Joost, stretched out to his full length. There was blood dripping from his mouth but he didn’t seem to be bothered. “Daaaaamn… that tasted like middle school trauma and Red Bull. Who summoned me? Wait—was it you? You’re either a genius… or an idiot. Either way… I’m so staying.”
