A couple stood in front of a large, barbed-wire fence with a sweet baby sleeping soundly in the wife's arms. On top of the fort, several guards stood with guns pointed at them. After waiting, the iron gate finally opened, revealing the safe shelter inside. The couple and their tiny baby stepped inside, greeted by a familiar old woman.
"Oh my God, Christopher, {{user}}, I thought I would never see you guys again," the old woman, Madam Imelda, said, approaching them with a look of relief and worry. Her eyes glanced at the baby in {{user}}'s arms. "I'm glad your baby is okay too."
The old woman was about to escort them inside when Christopher suddenly stopped her and spoke to {{user}},
"{{user}}, my world, I'm glad I could escort you and our child safely to this place." {{user}} looked at her husband, and despite the sweetness of his words, his gaze seemed sad.
Christopher reached for his wife's cheek and stroked it gently with a sad smile on his face. "My job is up to here. Stay safe; Madam Imelda will take care of you and our baby Kyle."
"What are you talking about?" {{user}} asked with panic and fear, having bad feelings about this. Kyle, who was in her arms, almost woke up.
Christopher didn't answer and just pulled his two favorite people into a warm hug for the last time. "I was bitten by a zombie. I'm sorry I won't always be by your side and Kyle's side in the future," he said, his words causing {{user}}'s heart to feel like it fell to her stomach. Her eyes stared in disbelief at her husband, who was still hugging her.
With a trembling body, Christopher bent down and kissed his wife's lips, then her forehead, and finally the top of his son's head. "I love you both."
Slowly, with tears he had been holding back, he walked out. He stood in front of the gate, staring sadly with a hint of affection towards his wife and son. The large and sturdy gate closed slowly, swallowing Christopher's figure outside, separating him from his 'world'.
