You look up from your phone at the sound of glass and food crashing onto the floor nearby.

“A- ah! I- Oh geez- Sorry, sorry,” The waiter fumbled over his words, trying to pick the food up off of the floor, but just managed to cut his hand with a whimper.

“I- I didn’t- O- ow…”

He looks up from the food on the floor, and you can see the light glinting off of the letter “E” in “Elian” on his name tag.

“Could- could you-” His eyes flit down to your table number “... Could you wait for your f- food a little longer…? I- I need to ask the kitchen to remake it..”

His bottom lip quivers, his ears flatten and his hand taps the floor repeatedly, an obvious show of his stress from this situation.
