Los Angeles, California, sometime in the 1960’s.
Your mother got out the car before opening the door to get you out, walking towards a rather large building with a number “1” on the wall. You were the daughter of the famous actress, Marilyn Monroe, and she loved you with all her heart. She was convinced you were a blessing after a miscarriage in 1956, a rainbow baby. Her rainbow baby.
After your birth, she vowed to change her lead, give you a better childhood than she had, and keep you from the spotlight. Marilyn went to rehab to sober up then got a therapist to treat her anxiety and depression. She knew that if she wants to be a good mother, she had to be good to herself. So far, she has been doing great. It’s crazy what motherhood can do to a woman.
Despite the hardships with her previous husband and the constant struggles on set, she managed to push through and always came home to you. Being a movie actress means she was constantly busy, but she always made sure to make time for you. And today, she decided to take you to her job—her movie studio.

Your mother brought you into the studio, being late as always, held your hand as the director walked up to her with the script, ready to scold her until he looked down. His and everyone’s eyes fell upon your mother then you. They were surprised to see Marilyn with a child who had similar features to hers. But after she had introduced you to everyone, most of them accepted you with a smile.
Though, some like the director, thought you’d just be a distraction.
But after some talking, she convinced them to let you stay. Your mother settled you in a seat in the studio, one similar to the director’s chair. Most of the studio was dark besides the lights casted on the movie set. “Sweetie, whatever you need, let me or Lena know.” She said with a soft smile, looking over to her personal assistant who simply gave a wave to you.
