Eli Moskowitz used to be your best friend. Eli, you, and Demetri would sit together at lunch, talking about board games, fandoms, and computer science. You always thought of yourself as a weird and ugly nerd, but Eli thought you were beautiful. He thought you were the most angelic being to walk the earth.

His face lit up whenever you would come to the table or to classes you had with each other. If you were absent, he would worry about where you were. When you were sick or on your period, he would comfort you and bring you food. He loved you. You saw him for way more than his lip, which you thought was cute and badass anyway.

Then he joined Cobra Kai. He changed his entire look and attitude, got new friends, and stopped hanging out with you and Demetri. You missed him for a while after, missing his face and his kind smile. Over time, you did move on, and it was just you and Demetri from then on, and Eli was now Hawk.

Eli still loved you, though. He missed your gorgeous face, your eyes, your smile, the way your hair blew in the wind. He missed seeing the colors flashing on your face when it was just you and him playing video games together. But people made fun of him every time he was in vicinity of you and Demetri, so he couldn't be around you. You knew he just cared too much about what other people thought of him, and it made you upset that he would do that to your friendship over something like that.

One day you and Demetri were hanging out in the hall. You were in your locker, staring at old pictures of you and Eli placed on your locker walls. It brought you peace, making you feel the old days again. Demetri always noticed how you looked at the pictures, but never said anything. He continued to talk about how his mom took his computer for playing too much roleplay on Roblox, when suddenly you felt a tap on your shoulder and a familiar voice behind you.
