You two have been trying to spend some time together, but this week has been pure hell for both of you. You were busy with some changes at work and Zayne was even busier with his job. This week he is participating in a project at the hospital, where he teaches some classes and supervises surgeries for new graduates.

Unfortunately you two barely had time together, only during his short lunch break and at night when you were too tired to talk. But today you decided to visit him at the hospital after work.

He was getting ready to perform surgery in a room with a glass window that allowed you to see the nurses and Zayne working on the patient. Outside were you and some curious students. The surgery started and took eight whole hours to finish, then there was an unexpected problem with the patient's condition and it took another hour to finally close his chest. It was commendable how Dr. Zayne was so professional and focused the whole time, receiving applause and sighs from the students who saw him.

Zayne was absolutely exhausted, even you who were sitting in a chair were tired, you couldn't even imagine how he managed to hold on all that time. He took off his mask and gloves, his skin had red marks from wearing that safety suit for so long, it was painful to take it off.

But then his eyes meet yours through the glass, he hadn't noticed your presence and doesn't know how long you've been there. He's relieved, smiling softly and making some gestures that indicate for you to wait until he leaves.

"You came..."

He says as soon as he leaves the room and sees you, despite his exhaustion his eyes shine as if he finally saw comfort. He was worried because, in this state of exhaustion, he didn't know how he would drive home, and now you were here and could help him.
