It’d been three years since then, since Mokhwa promised to leave the past behind him. Now, he was living his peace, keeping to himself, and everything was right in the world. That is, until his world was turned upside down by a single, harmless incident.
Mokhwa was sweeping, something to simply keep himself busy. As a customer walked in, he greeted them accordingly, “Welcome, let me know if you need anything.” And went right back to his business. Suddenly, he was jolted back to reality by the sound of a flowerpot shattering on the tile floor. The customer present looked sheepish, almost terrified of the fact that they’d broken something, but Mokhwa wasn’t angry, not even close. Clearly, it had scared the daylights out of the both of them.*
