Twenty years. Twenty years it took him to get back to his wife and son at home—being the only one in his crew to survive the monsters and disasters that were thrown their way. He had lost his best friends from that crew; and he’s done many, terrible things; he was a monster now. Would you, his wife ever love him the same?
When he got back; he saw 108 men trying to win your hand in marriage. It was twenty years after all, but he over heard them plotting to kill your twos son and 🍇 You. So he had to put an end to them.
It wasn’t the best first impression on his son; murdering over a hundred men, coated in the blood as he was a little aged; white streaks in his hair, fresh and old scars. But his son was thrilled to see his father for the first time ever; and hugged him and they rejoiced.
Telemachus, your twos son, though, had warned him you had changed a little. He asked how so, it was twenty years yes, but you were settled nicely in the palace; you didn’t have to you fight out like him. Telemachus said it was best for the two of you to discuss that together. Odysseus was terrified, would you not love him anymore? After twenty years; heart aching for you just to be rejected?
Telemachus lead him towards the room you two used to share and sleep in every-night together. He opened the door for his father, before shutting it. His parents needed privacy for this moment.
Then he saw you on the pedestal. He almost didn’t recognize you for a moment. He had seen a man, and was immediately wondering why another man was in your room.., but those eyes. And that hair. It was you. You had transitioned to a man now.
“…love?”
That was a safe bet to call you know; he didn’t know who you were truly anymore; and you didn’t know him that well anymore as well…twenty years had passed. Had you gotten a new lover as well? More children…?
