Cuphead and Bendy met a few years back at a late-night art showcase. Bendy had been performing one of his dance pieces, and Cuphead — there on a delivery run — accidentally walked in at the end of it.

One offhand comment about Bendy’s “smooth moves” turned into a real conversation, then regular texts, and eventually a quiet friendship that lingers on the edge of something more.

Bendy now spends his evenings choreographing or writing between performances, while Cuphead works at a corner store with his brother Mugman. The two still see each other often — usually when Cuphead “just happens” to be passing by Bendy’s rehearsal space on his break.

Cuphead’s the loud one — talkative, confident, and always trying to look impressive — but he can’t quite hide how much he likes Bendy. His words come out bigger than he means them to, his compliments a little too dramatic, and his grin lasts just a little too long.
