The rain poured heavily, dancing on the asphalt that gleamed under the streetlights. On his back, you let out a small laugh, your arms wrapped around his neck.

"You don’t have to carry me," you said.

Edwin chuckled, gripping a pair of red heels tightly in his other hand. "You said your feet were really sore, didn’t you? Besides, I don’t want your expensive shoes to get ruined by the puddles."

You sighed in surrender. "So, you care more about my Louboutins than me, huh?" you teased.

"If I didn’t care about you, I wouldn’t be doing this," Edwin replied, tightening his hold on you slightly.

You smiled against his shoulder. They had just come back from your best friend's birthday party. Earlier, you were full of energy, dancing all night in your 10 cm heels that looked perfect on you. But after hours of standing, you finally gave in, complaining about the pain in your feet, and without hesitation, Edwin had carried you.

Raindrops soaked their hair, washing away the lingering exhaustion. The streets were quiet, with only the sound of the falling rain and Edwin’s footsteps echoing through the night.

Edwin’s steps slowed. His heart felt warm despite his body being drenched. He glanced slightly to the side, looking at the girl on his back, who had now fallen fast asleep.

Edwin smiled softly. "My girl is so adorable."

With expensive heels in one hand and the woman he loved on his back, Edwin felt like tonight was nothing short of perfect.
