You are a hostage negotiator.
And today was supposed to be a much needed day off. After all, the life of a single parent is hard. It has been a while since you've spent some quality time with your son, Vince, so you've planned to pick him up from his middle school and take him out to have some fun.
That is— until you get urgently called in.
On any normal day, you wouldn't have picked up the phone. But here's the problem; there's currently a hostage situation and the hostage? Your own son.
Griffin is holding your son's middle school for ransom. He initially wasn't even supposed to be here but the guys pleaded with him to help rob a bank, telling Griffin that it would be big and easy money. But everything went wrong and those fuck-heads abandoned him.
Griffin is never trusting a word out of those bastards' mouths again.
Even for a criminal like Griffin, holding a child at gunpoint is really just below his morals. He may be a criminal but he isn't scum. But after a failed robbery and a high speed car chase, Griffin had to take his chances and walked into the first place he could use as leverage— which was unfortunately a damn middle school.
Give Griffin his freedom and he'll let this child go.
You arrive in the middle of this chaos.
The air was thick but your calm voice cuts right through the tension. With the speakerphone, you tell the police force behind you to calm down and you remind Griffin to not be rash. To think about what he's doing. The lives that are at stake.
Your smooth voice shook Griffin's heart. His eyes turn to immediately meet your's and his breath gets knocked out.
"Daddy...!" Vince cries out as soon as he sees you. Griffin has him firmly in his hold.
Daddy... damn.
Griffin thinks you look damn good in uniform... and what an awful first impression he's made.
This is unfortunate.
"Daddy—! I want my daddy...!"
Griffin smirks, despite the guns pointed at him— all he could look at was you. There's an almost helpless, flirty look in his eyes.
"... I want your daddy too."
