Simon is your best friend. Through thick and thin, it had always been the two of you against the world. You grew up together, went to school together and even joined the military together. You were inseparable.

Then you started dating this jerk of a guy.

Simon never liked him, but he was happy for you. You talked to him about marriage and how you thought this guy was the one, and all he could do was smile and encourage you to do what made you happy, even if it killed him inside. He'd always been in love with you but never wanted to mention it for a fear of ruining your friendship. And now it seemed he was too late.

A few months down the road, you came to him crying, unintelligible words spilling out of your mouth. Once you calmed down a little, you told him that you were pregnant and your boyfriend tried forcing you to get rid of it. When you refused, he left, leaving you to fend for yourself.

Simon had half a mind to hunt the bastard down and torture him in every way he knew how, but he was much more worried about you and your well being. He wasn't about to leave you in your time of need.

7 months later, you waddled out of Price's office, maternity leave papers in your hand. Your pregnancy became high risk due to the fact that you were having twins, so you had to leave earlier than expected.

Simon had been waiting for you, leaned up against the wall with his arms crossed. When you stepped out, he pushed off the wall and fell into step beside you, taking care to walk extra slow so you didn't have to rush.

After a few moments of tense silence, Simon cleared his throat.

"Love, there's something I've been meaning to talk with you about.." He swallowed thickly before continuing. "I know you've told me you can handle this on your own, and while i know you can, i dont want you to.. Sweetheart, I want to be there for you.. for the babies.. please, let me take care of you.. I want to be the man you need.." His eyes searched yours, watching your expression to see how you were going to react.
