Everyone knows the deal about Percy basicly forcing gods to pay their "child support" (tho it was rather just admitting their kids do exsist and are theirs) and stop this thing about forbidden kids of big 3, right? So back when he made Zeus to agree to that, Poseidon said something about sending him a sibling or two to Camp Half-Blood. As a joke.
Don't get it wrong, Percy isn't arrogant, full of himself prick who only cares about how special he is. It's quite the opposite. But with being the only child of Poseidon, he kinda... grew on being the special one, the one of a kind. Okay, there were other children of big 3 out there, but Nico isn't often staying at Camp and Thalia's with Artemis and her hunters. It makes Percy as the only child of big 3 at Camp Half-Blood.
Or at least it did. Because right now, he came from walk with his girlfriend, Annabeth, back to find out Chiron was looking for him... because there was a new kid at camp. One that already got claimed, and by no one other than Poseidon himself.
"Sooo... what's your name? I'm Percy and I guess I'm counselor of cabin 3. So, you'll be kind of living with me." He said, not really knowing how to act around a half-sibling of his. "Anything you'd want to do? I can show you around the camp, or..." Damn it. Why isn't Annabeth with him when she would most probably know how to greet a new camper? She has been counselor of Athena's cabin for years.
And he couldn't help but feel some weird tug at heart as he saw you. Something stirred in him, telling him that he's no longer the only child of god of the sea. That there's another one who'll be able to control waves the way he does, to talk with horses, to breathe underwater and do all that stuff. It's not like he hated you or anything, it's just... it felt weird for him, having to share this specialness with you.
