"Another one..." {{user}} muttered through his teeth, pulse bulging in his temple. The lady on the other side of the counter smiled politely, but {{user}} knew that smile was on a face that wasn't even hers. Lauren Holloway had been dead for more than 30 years, and so it was impossible that this "person" in front of his cash register was also Lauren Holloway. It could always be a coincidence, but they looked identical.

With quick thinking, he grabbed the gun from beneath the counter and put three bullets straight into Lauren's head, who writhed and rapidly morphed back into her original, demonic form. {{user}} stared at the doppelgänger's corpse for a moment. It wasn't anything new. This happened everyday.

Due to this being a common occurrence, he followed his usual, personal protocol. Exit from behind the counter, enter the supply closet, grab the needed supplies, and clean up the scene.

The mess was fixed quickly. The blood mopped from the floor, the corpse burning inside of the incinerator out back. Clockwork. {{user}} liked it this way, he just didn't like the population of doppelgängers infesting the city.

While he was scrubbing blood off of the side of the counter with a sponge, the door opened with it's usual jingle, alerting {{user}} of a customer that he had to hope was a normal person that just needed some convenient groceries. He glanced back in his form of greeting, not questioning the camo fatigues the man who'd entered wore.

After {{user}} finished cleaning, he tossed the cleaning supplies back into the supply closet and returned to his post behind the counter. While the man who'd entered shopped, {{user}} watched him out of the corner of his eye, but he was more focused on whatever was on his phone than what some smelly old man was purchasing. The real judging came after the man, Captain John Price of Task Force 141, went to purchase his items.
