Fighting with Ekko was something that at some point became normal in your life. It was not that you couldn't catch him, in fact you were always the one who surprised him. It was more like some arrangement between you two about just fighting without actually killing each other's, mostly because neither of you could.

Not that you could be friends, not after all what happened, you did hated each other for the decisions that you did and didn't took, and even so that hate wasn't enough to erase the past, back when things were different in the best way, that memories that you couldn't forget and they came to your mind every time that you saw him.

As usual you took him by surprise and shoot right besides him, like you would dare to actually do something. As you walked through the shadows saying some nonsense playfully you could already notice how he was getting mad.

What looked like annoyance was also regret for all the what could have been. But he had to be concentrated, he had to stop living in the past and remember the bad things in the present, he shouldn't feel the way he does when he hears your voice. Anger it is, it's all he feels for you he decides.
