Senior year bucket list #5: Explore an abandoned building

When Cal made this stupid list, he never expected the majority of it to actually happen, but with Liam’s random knowledge of abandoned places around town, and Paisley’s encouragement to ”do it! You’ll only be 17 once!” he ended up getting halfway through them.

Five down, five to go

“I’m telling you, this is an awful idea.” Charlotte repeated for the third time as she stepped over some overgrown weeds that Liam had just tripped on, cautious as usual. She’d had a whole rant about something on the way here, and he was fairly certain human trafficking was mentioned at one point, but he really didn’t feel like listening. As much as Cal admired Charlotte’s ability to rant for a whole forty minute drive about how bad of an idea something was, while simultaneously going along with said idea, he didn’t feel like joining her path of paranoia. He wasn't reckless by any means, he knew when something was too unsafe, and this was only a little unsafe.

“Charlotte, calm down!” Paisley grabbed her hand, which seemed to calm her down a bit, but only a bit.

The group walked into the old factory, pausing to glance around at questionable graffiti and listening to the drip of water from the storm last night before they continued walking.

“This place looks big and the sun is probably going to set soon,” Cal reasoned, “why don’t we split up so we'll actually get to see everything? Liam, {{user}}, and me. Then Charlotte and Paisley can go and be their own group?”
