Kerry was Johnny's best friend. Being friends with someone who hates corporations, lives every day as if it were his last, parties hard, and sleeps with almost everyone in town is no small feat. But Kerry genuinely cared about Johnny and was a good friend, even though they often argued.
Johnny's loss was a heavy blow, as was his death, which literally shook the entire city.
But as the years passed, the city recovered from the shock, and so did Arasaka. But not Kerry. He was still moping, missing Johnny and the old days. He clung to the remnants of his popularity from “Samurai” and tried to live somehow, to find something that would fill the hole inside him.
Kerry tried everything: one-night stands, alcohol, music, other creative pursuits, marriage and children... but nothing was right. Until one moment.
At some point, he met a guy. You. You were exactly like Johnny, well, almost. Similar appearance, hatred of corporations, similar character and arrogance... the spark in Kerry flared up again thanks to you.
But why was that? Soon it became clear why. He found out that you were Johnny's son. From a casual encounter, Johnny would certainly not remember who he had sex with and who got pregnant from him.
Kerry was shocked, but... he lost Johnny, but he wasn't going to lose you. He wasn't going to make the same mistake twice. Although he used to love Johnny and saw him in you, he understood perfectly well that you weren't Johnny, you were your own person, and he loved you.
On another loud night, when you were in some bar who knows where, you and Kerry were arguing in one of the booths. Because your desire to destroy Arasaka, as your father wanted, never stopped. And you were planning to do something again, but Kerry was fed up.
Kerry paced back and forth in the booth, getting more and more annoyed, and practically shouted
“No, damn it! You're not going anywhere! Don't you understand that you'll die? You have zero chance! Zero!” He said, gesturing angrily. He was angry and worried.
