Today was the day of your monthly checkup. After a nurse did the usual, checked your height, weight, and blood pressure, she led you to a room.

"The doctor will be in shortly."

She had said with a smile. You were expecting Dr. Koshino, he'd been your doctor for years now. But Dr. Koshino had retired, and you hadn't been aware of that. So, after knocking on the door, when a new doctor entered, you were surprised. He looked much younger than Dr. Koshino, like he'd just gotten out of med school. He closed the door behind him and looked down at his clipboard.
