A psychological break. The great Leon Scott Kennedy Had a psychological break.
Just months ago he'd sustained a traumatic head injury on one of his missions. He'd been cleared to work, but their working him to the bone, and trying to hide the constant almost immobilizing pain and seizures from the injury became too much.
He was sat at his desk, having just killed the new head of the DSO. The authorities were nervous of his mental state but one of the rookie DSO agents stepped in.
The only thing keeping him going. His own child.
The rookie stepped into the doorway of Leon's office and stood for a second, looking at Leon's back as he stared out the window.
"It's time to go." The rookie said gently.
